Here at Halfpenny Green, we are a family-friendly golf club who values each customer, their experience, and their safety. As such we ask that you are respectful when playing your round of golf, or using any of the facilities, and follow the local rules of Halfpenny Green Golf Club. 

Failure to follow the rules may result in you being asked to leave the premises. 

The Halfpenny Green Golf Club rules are as follows: 

  • Strictly only one person at a time is allowed in the clubhouse to pay.

  • Only players who have pre-booked via phone on 01902 326682 or email on info@halfpennygreen.com and are scheduled to play will be permitted to play or enter the club premises. Bookings made via other platforms cannot be guaranteed.

  • Tee off times are 7.30-19.00 on weekdays and 7.30/18.00 weekends/bank holidays for 10-minute intervals, only 9 holes will be allowed per group.

  • Play will be restricted to 4 balls as the maximum number of players in any single group.

  • All customers are to bring and wear their own PPE e.g. protective gloves and face masks.

  • Payment for your game will be taken at the clubhouse entrance.

  • Payments via card or cash.

  • Buggy hire will only be available to clients who medically need assistance.

  • There will be no hire of golf equipment will be provided please bring your own.

  • If you lose a ball and taking longer than 5 mins to find it, we will ask you to play a new ball (keep in mind that we allocate 10 minutes between tee off times, and you may end up waiting for other golfers to play through).

  • Bunkers will be in play however, customers must clean any footprints with their own clubs no rakes will be left.

  • Balls washers and shoe cleaners will not be in use.

  • The Driving range will be open but limited. There is no booking needed however, visitors will need to clean basket handles with wipes or disinfectant before and after use.

  • Only people using range allowed no spectators once finished they must leave.

  • Putting/pitching green will be available for golfers waiting to tee off no more than 4 people at anyone time no flag pins left in.

  • Hot/cold drinks and snacks will be available only takeout service.

  • No alcohol is allowed on the property.

  • Green/Golf staff will have priorities at all times.

  • Upon arrival by car always leave a free space between you and the next car for easier social distancing and safety.

  • In line with current government instruction and social distancing the clubhouse will  remain shut, we therefore ask all members to arrive no sooner than 10 minutes before your tee time and change their shoes/attire in the club car park.

  • As the clubhouse will be closed this also means that the gym, coffee shop and toilets will not be in operation.

  • Pace of play should be maintained to ensure a 10 minute gap between your play and players either ahead or behind, apply ready golf to maintain pace and repair only your pitch marks.

  • Holes cups will be turned upside down with flag pins in. Please do not touch flag pins.

  • Golfers should leave the golf club premises as soon as your game is completed.

  • Do not sign or exchange score cards.

  • During the phased reopening, aside from the monthly £180 membership, no special offers will be valid.

  • Whilst we appreciate that mobile phones are a part of life nowadays, we politely request that they be placed on silent, or switched off, while on the course, as a courtesy to other golfers.

  • No congregation allowed on the premises once you have finished you must make your way to your vehicle and leave.

  • Anyone not following guidelines will be asked to leave and no refund will be given.

Dress Code 

  • Customers are allowed to wear jeans (as long as they are not ripped) and collared T-shirts are more than welcome.

  • We do not allow for persons wearing football shirts or tracksuits onto the main golf course, but you are welcome to wear that form of clothing on the Par 3 course and the Driving Range.

  • Soft soled trainers are fully acceptable to wear around the golf course.

  • No work boots or any form of footwear that would damage the course.
